She primarily works with animal-shape sculptures in clay and paintings on silk, incorporating traces of plants and flowers transferred through steam. Her practice explores fluidity as a dynamic, living relationship across bodies, matter, and the more-than-human. Her works often inhabit a sensual and ethereal space, where softness and slowness become ways of relating to the world. Post-natural and transfeminist perspectives run through her work, where distinctions between bodies and species become less clear. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from IUAV University of Venice (2016) and continued her studies in Visual Arts for the Digital Age at IED in Milan. In 2021, she completed a second Master’s degree in Futuro Vegetale at the University of Florence, further developing the intersection between her artistic practice and her interest in plant life. I’m interested in excavating and discovering new narratives that abandon an abusive relationship with the environment to create new forms of collaborative coexistence with other species. My work primarily involves textiles imprinted with plant traces through steam-based dyeing and ceramics, but I continue to experiment with the integration of other materials, always mindful of the environmental impact of my practice. Whenever possible, I source materials directly from the site - flora for fabrics and clay for sculptures. I combine feeling with biology, looking for an interaction with the current environmental and political crisis.
